Faculty of Law


 

With a history of over 150 years, The Faculty of Law is one of the oldest faculties within the University of Bucharest. High-ranking personalities of the scientific field, but also many with extraordinary political activity are teaching here, working in one of the three traditional fields: public law, private law, and criminal law.

The Faculty of Law is home for numerous, prestigious research centers ( Human Right Center, European Law Center, Center for Studies in International Commercial Arbitration, Center for Studies in the field of Intellectual Property Law and many others) and periodically organizes scientific activities: international conferences, debates, seminars, summer schools, contests, simulations and experimental processes.

Being one of the leading institutions of higher education in Romania, it’s graduates have included many remarkable personalities: prestigious teachers and researchers, writers, politicians ( members of the parliament, ministers, prime ministers, and presidents), diplomats and high-ranking members of international institutions.
